Troy is a suburb of Dayton. A town with rich architectural heritage and historic importance, Troy, is named for the ancient Greek city of Troy.  Architectural highlights include “The Public Square”,  beautifully restored & landscaped with a fountain, surrounded by, renovated Victorian-age buildings that show the gracious style of another era. The historic Miami County Courthouse, in downtown Troy and overlooking the Great Miami River, stands as the masterpiece of the County, towering 185 feet above the river.
